Vannin Chief of Staff is Hiring a Chief of Staff to the CPO Near New York, NY

Vannin Chief of Staff has been retained by a fast-growing ad tech company, the first and only CTV advertising platform purpose-built for performance marketers. Our client leverages massive data and cutting-edge science to automate and optimize TV advertising to drive business outcomes. Their platform is built by industry leaders with a long history in programmatic advertising, digital media, and ad verification who have now purpose-built a CTV performance platform advertisers can trust to grow their business.

Chief of Staff to the CPO Role

Our client is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). The role involves working closely with the CPO, product team leaders and the broader executive team, aiding in strategic initiatives within the department, and ensuring the product team meets its objectives. The successful candidate will be a skilled leader with a strong technical acumen, expertise in strategy, operations, project management, and leadership. They must be detail oriented, proactive, and possess strong critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate is growth-minded, agile, and comfortable navigating change and ambiguity. They excel at tackling complex challenges, thrive in collaborative environments, and have a strong focus on action and results. The role requires maintaining a high level of discretion with sensitive information.

This will be a full-time, fully remote, exempt position. Candidates must be located on the East Coast of the US, with a preference for the NYC and Washington, D.C. metro areas.

Responsibilities

Product Team Leadership and Strategy:

  • Assist the CPO in day-to-day operational management of the business and in ensuring the CPO priorities are being effectively executed
  • Own prioritization and execution of key departmental strategic initiatives by partnering with product leaders, the executive team and internal functions
  • Enhance the effectiveness of key meetings by setting effective agendas and driving high-quality content and output, including preparation and meeting follow-ups

Operations:

  • Support the development and drive the scorecard success metrics and KPIs. Monitor key metrics and flag areas of concern
  • Own and continuously improve company operating cadence (e.g. product team meetings, leadership off-sites, quarterly OKRs reviews)
  • Seek areas for improvement, innovation and process documentation to make the Product team run more smoothly and drive growth

Communications:

  • Assist with communications between and from the CPO to the wider team
  • Lead the preparation and development of all team presentations, including but not limited to reviews, all hands meetings, off-sites, and events

Recommended Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience at a fast, high growth startup in a Chief of Staff or operations leadership
  • Tech experience with a background in ad tech and/or product management preferred
  • Ability to thoroughly and quickly understand the business and related tools and protocols
  • Demonstrates a high degree of diligence and organization
  • Skilled in professional written and verbal communication
  • Excellent GSuite/Microsoft office skills and adept at using project management platforms such as Jira, Asana or a related tool

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, showcasing strong ownership, organizational, and time-management capabilities
  • Experience using business frameworks such as Traction EOS is a plus, but not required
  • Strong project and change management skills with the ability to execute on strategic projects with a high level of diligence and precision
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
  • Adept at using a Radical Candor approach and skilled in influencing and negotiation to build relationships and drive accountability up, down and across the organization in a tactful manner

Compensation Range: DOE $180,000 - $200,000 USD base annual salary
