Technology & Systems DepartmentThe Technology & Systems department drives technological innovation for the company and advances the technology strategy to support global growth. This includes IT, Software Development, OT / Automation Systems, and business process improvement. At Vantage, we are very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes, so we can make informed purchase decisions. The Technology & Systems department participates in designing each of our new data center building’s networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross connect panels…), wireless AP coverage, etc.
We rely on extreme collaboration with Sales, Construction, Operations and Corporate Functions to drive simplification, establish global standards with continuous improvement and speed to value. We are working to build a reliable, scalable, sustainable, and secure technology roadmap/landscape that enables us to better serve our customers and employees and be the partner of choice. Our focus is on speed to value with financial and execution discipline. We strive to double the good, halve the bad, in half the time.
Position OverviewThis position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). The Director of IT Strategy is responsible for ensuring the success and satisfaction of internal business partners with the IT services and solutions provided by our organization. You will act as a liaison between IT teams and internal clients, identifying their needs, managing expectations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, technical foresight, and a customer-centric mentality!
Essential Job FunctionsCustomer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business customers across various groups.
  • Act as the main point of contact for IT-related inquiries, critical issues, and service requests.
  • Regularly connect with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure their satisfaction with IT services.
Operational Management:
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of IT services, ensuring they meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
  • Manage IT budgets, expenditures, and resource allocation to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standard protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure robust IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to address any service disruptions, incidents, or performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with partners to review performance, discuss improvements, and identify areas for optimization.
Client Success Planning:
  • Collaborate with partners to define their IT requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain client success plans outlining key breakthroughs, results, and success metrics.
  • Proactively find opportunities to enhance IT services and align them with the evolving needs of internal clients.
Technical Consultation:
  • Provide technical guidance and consultation to internal clients on IT solutions, systems, and processes.
  • Assist partners in understanding the capabilities and benefits of IT tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Organizational Change and Adoption:
  • Facilitate organizational change activities related to the implementation of new IT initiatives, systems, or processes.
  • Support collaborators in embracing and using IT solutions effectively within their workflows.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and documentation to promote user adoption and proficiency.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
  • Find opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains within IT service delivery.
  • Lead or participate in improvement projects aimed at enhancing the overall client experience and satisfaction.
  • Regularly review client feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Job RequirementsEducation:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
  • 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrable experience in a client-facing role, preferably within IT or technology services.
Skills:
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software applications.
  • Superb communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to optimally manage partner expectations and resolve conflicts.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL is desirable.
  • Project management skills and experience leading multi-functional initiatives.
  • Customer-focused mentality with a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details
  • Salary Range: $180,000-$200,000 Base Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
