Position Overview

As the Senior Manager, Onboarding Excellence, you will architect our new hire onboarding experience, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless transition for every employee joining Vantage Data Centers globally. In this influential role, you will spearhead strategies, design programs, and execute initiatives that cultivate new hire engagement, foster connections, and accelerate knowledge acquisition.

Leveraging people analytics, you'll identify trends and deeply understand the new employee journey, continuously enhancing approaches to elevate engagement and improve retention. This multifaceted position demands both strategic vision and meticulous execution, collaborating closely with HR partners and business leaders to drive onboarding excellence initiatives that create exceptional value during Vantage's pivotal growth phase.

As an authority on new hire experiences, you'll champion innovative solutions that immerse talent into Vantage's culture, empower rapid productivity, and nurture long-term commitment to our mission.

Duties

  • Analyze current onboarding processes, identifying areas that require further strengthening
  • Evolve current processes to ensure the design and implementation of a comprehensive onboarding program aligned with organizational culture and values
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process from pre-boarding to post-boarding activities
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Facilities, HR, etc.) for seamless onboarding logistics
  • Establish and monitor onboarding metrics, timelines, and service level agreements
  • Facilitate networking opportunities and introductions to organizational culture, values, and mission
  • Develop mentorship and buddy programs to support new hire integration
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create job-specific training materials and resources
  • Leverage various training delivery methods (in-person, virtual, self-paced, etc.)
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development for new hires
  • Collect and analyze onboarding data and feedback from new hires and stakeholders
  • Identify trends, pain points, and areas for optimization in the onboarding experience
  • Implement improvements and best practices to enhance the onboarding process continuously
  • Measure and report on onboarding metrics, including new hire satisfaction, engagement, and retention
  • Promote the value and importance of effective onboarding across the organization
  • Provide training and support to managers and stakeholders involved in the onboarding process

Job Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources Management and/or Learning Accreditation for example CIPD Level 5 Qualification preferred &/or equivalent experience
  • Preferably 10 years of Learning and Development experience
  • Experience of both in person and digital learning onboarding content design
  • Data Center or high-tech experience is preferred, but not required
  • Driven, strong communicator, outstanding written & communication skills along with high attention-to-detail, required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel

Travel is expected to be less than 10%, but may increase over time as the business evolves

Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 Base Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
