Vantage Risk Companies is Hiring an Assistant Vice President, Distribution Lead (CHI) Near Chicago, IL

About the roleAt Vantage, the AVP, Distribution Lead is a member of our Insurance Distribution team. This role will be responsible for helping drive profitable growth with retail and wholesale brokers in the Midwest region. Operating with a “One Vantage” approach and a start-up mindset, you will work closely with the Vantage underwriting teams to help execute the Vantage distribution plan across all distribution channels in the Central region. This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a team building a profitable book of business and a successful organization. This role reports to our Chief Distribution Officer and is a hybrid opportunity for candidates residing in the Chicago metro area and/or exceptional candidates elsewhere in the Midwest that bring a compelling value proposition to the role.The base salary expectation for this role is between $150,000 and $190,000. Actual base salary for the selected candidate may be higher commensurate with candidate experience and expectations. ResponsibilitiesBuild broker awareness of the Vantage offering and value propositionDevelop and execute a regional strategy in collaboration with the Chief Distribution Officer and Vantage’s underwriters and business unit leadersWith a focus on external broker and client engagement, work with the Vantage underwriting teams to build and strengthen our distribution platform in the Central regionPlan, coordinate, and attend broker meetings (virtual or in-person as the circumstances dictate) in line with the regional strategyActively manage meeting calendars, agendas and follow ups with our key partnersIdentify, prequalify, and quarterback new business opportunities across all lines of businessGrow, deepen, and expand client relationships through cross-selling Serve as a key source of market intelligence and internal communicationRepresent Vantage at industry and broker events throughout the Central regionUtilize relationship management alongside a rigorous, data driven approach to drive profitable growthHelp build, measure, and analyze quantitative insights for the business, inclusive of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and CPIs (Customer Performance Indicators)As a new company we fully acknowledge the scope of each colleague’s job will change over time. Qualifications / SkillsBachelor’s Degree in business or similar or equivalent business experience6-12 years of Property / Casualty insurance experienceStrong knowledge of the insurance space, coverages, and understanding of systemsProven track record of demonstrable success in sales development and new business productionHighly visible individual with deep experience in an insurance distribution, underwriting, or broking role with a demonstrable base of strong relationships across the industryAs a team player the ideal candidate will be accountable, driven, highly motivated, and a strong collaboratorExcellent communication (written and oral), presentation, time management, and relationship management skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BIWillingness to travel up to 30% of the time (as needed and practical)Ability to process and adapt to change in a rapid growth new-company environment.
