Controller

Our client, a publicly owned utility in Phoenix, is currently looking to hire an experienced Controller to lead its accounting group. This is an opportunity to join the management team at a rapidly growing company known for its ability to efficiently and sustainably transform its utility systems within a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee & support the accounting team
• Responsibility for timely & accurate accounting & financial reporting
• Prepare financial results for SEC disclosures & reports
• Supervise treasury & cash management functions
• Implement process improvement policies & procedures

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 10 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
• Experience managing a team of five or more
• Active CPA certificate
• Public company accounting
• Regulatory accounting experience (preferred)
