Position Purpose

Ensures customer service related transactions at the service desk and checkout areas are handled promptly, courteously, and accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Job Scope

This position coordinates the work of _____ Customer Service Associates. This position has no direct budgetary accountability.

Essential Functions

1) Ensure customer service related transactions are handled in an accurate and timely manner consistent with policy.

2) Guide, develop, and train Customer Service Associates to increase productivity.

3) Devise and implement work schedule for Customer Service Associates.

4) Maintain the raincheck and rebate center programs.

5) Implement cashier on demand schedule.

6) Maintain the cash drawer consistent with Company policies and procedures.

7) Maintain the front end and service areas in a neat and orderly manner.

8) Adhere to assigned work schedule in order to provide predictability in workload scheduling.

9) Provide positive customer service by treating customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner in order to maximize customer satisfaction and sales.

10) Follow all Company policies and procedures in order to maximize customer service, sales, and store profitability.

Ancillary Functions

1) Provide support to checkout and customer service areas as required.

2) Provide support to store management as requested.

Qualifications and Skills Required

ü High School diploma or GED

ü 1-2 years of related experience in retail customer service

ü Fundamental reading and math skills

ü Ability to effectively communicate in English

Working Conditions

ü Retail store environment where extended periods of standing are required

ü Occasional lifting and maneuvering of merchandise and displays

ü Scheduled work hours may vary, to include evenings and weekends
