Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Meet all DOT, DOE, Commonwealth of Virginia and Bedford County requirements for driving a school bus. A Valid Commercial Driver’s License with endorsements is required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity, hear and understand speech at normal levels; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly; physical agility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead. The school bus driver must be physically able to move within the confines of the bus in order to provide assistance to students.
