Roles and Responsibilities:
Program Management:
· Develop, implement, and manage program goals, objectives, and strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
· Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are aligned with the overall program objectives and delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure program and project dependencies are managed effectively.
· Develop and maintain program documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk registers, and decision logs.
Project Leadership:
· Lead project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation through closure.
· Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
· Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, providing solutions and escalating when necessary.
· Monitor project progress, adjust as needed, and ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.
Stakeholder Management:
· Act as the primary point of contact for program and project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure program success.
· Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review program and project progress and address any concerns or changes.
Resource Management:
· Manage program and project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
· Collaborate with resource managers to ensure the right talent is assigned to the right projects.
· Conduct performance evaluations for project team members and provide guidance and support for professional development.
Continuous Improvement:
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance program and project delivery.
· Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and apply them to future projects.
· Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in project management methodologies and tools.
Skills:
· Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
· Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
· Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make decisions.
· Solid organizational and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
Required Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in program and project management, with an experience leading successful IT project.
· Experience in risk management, change management, and resource management.
· Experience in Federal Maritime Commission, with knowledge of its specific challenges and requirements.
· Experience with Service Now/expert knowledge of ServiceNow environments
· Experience with IT specific low/no code platforms.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree
Certifications and Training:
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
· Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is preferred.
· Additional certifications in program management (e.g., PgMP) or specific methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) are a plus.
· Continuous professional development in project and program management methodologies and tools.
