The Vascular and Vein Institute of the South is a outpatient Vascular Surgeon practice seeking a full time, experienced, receptionist to manage our front desk and help the physicians with clinical tasks.

Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, focused and able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for the day to day front desk and assist with administrative duties, as required. The ideal candidate is outgoing, takes initiative to complete tasks, communicates well with patients & their family members, and coworkers. Candidate must be willing to travel to our multiple locations throughout the week.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Answering a high volume of telephone calls while maintaining a professional manner
• Greeting patients as they arrive
• Checking patients in for their appointments
• Completing paperwork and entering information as necessary
• Obtaining patient vital signs/blood draws/ etc.
• Charting procedures.
• Updating and entering medical history/information to patient charts.
• Effectively coordinates activities in support of departmental operations.
• Assist with patient prep/pre-op

Qualifications:

• Must be able to multitask efficiently on dual screen monitors
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of health insurance carries
• 1 year experience in medical reception
