Vaupell, Inc is Hiring a Quality Inspector I - 2nd Shift Near Agawam, MA
Vaupell Northeast in Agawam, Massachusetts is seeking to hire a Quality Inspector to join our team on second shift, 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 pm. The ideal candidate’s primary function will be to conduct inspection and testing against quality assurance and/or customer specifications/procedures to ensure that production meets the requirement specifications.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Acquire the appropriate number of samples from each product line and inspect according to the frequency and specifications outlined in the appropriate procedures.
- Perform special inspections e.g., Rework Inspections, GR&R, Capability Studies and Test Orders under the direction of Quality Manager or Quality Engineer.
- Investigate an apparent non-conformance as soon as possible and notify shift personnel as necessary.
- Perform final inspections (where applicable) and in-process finished goods audits.
- Operate CMMs and Vision Systems
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Knowledgeable in use of verniers, calipers and other similar inspection equipment is required.
- Basic blueprint reading is requirement.
- Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).
- Required physical skills and abilities:
- Must be able to remain standing/walking through most of shift.
- The uncorrected or corrected vision shall be equal or better than the following:
- Distance Vision: 20/25
- Vision at 14 Inches: Jaeger Number 2
- Color Vision Normal
