VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is searching for credentialed vet techs to work in our emergency department. We are an AAHA accredited, 24/7 hybrid hospital that takes pride in servicing our community. 

As a hospital we are very interested in taking excellent care of our clients and patients and we need knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate technicians to help us get there. Our team is the backbone of our hospital and without everyone’s skills, knowledge and fun-loving personalities we can’t succeed.

• Our ER veterinary technicians are responsible for triaging cases and working closely with the veterinarian to provide great patient and client service. You’ll be involved in a variety of cases ranging from basic nursing care to advanced/critical care of our patients. This includes but is not limited to: triaging patients, reviewing treatment plans, client communication, assisting with and performing diagnostics, and CPR. 
• We’re a teaching hospital and we want to train the best and the brightest for our future.
  • VCA offers a VTS program and Penn Foster scholarships to those interested.
  • 30 to 40 hours is full time status, but also willing to discuss part time hours.
  • $23-$28/hr depending on credentials and experience.
  • Looking to fill a full time position on days and swing shift that includes at least one weekend day.
  • $4/hr shift differential for swing and overnight shifts
