VCCP US is Hiring a Community Manager Near New York, NY

COMMUNITY MANAGER

Location: New York City (hybrid/ in-office 3x/week)

THE BIG PICTURE:

The VCCP Partnership is an integrated communications agency set up in 2002 by Charles (V), Rooney (C), Adrian (C) and Ian (P), who founded the agency on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels. Their founding client was BT Cellnet, now more commonly known as O2 and the most awarded brand in IPA effectiveness history.

Since then, the agency has grown to have offices all over the world. In the US we are located in New York with clients based all around the country.

We work with a broad spectrum of clients such as White Claw, Tate’s Cookies, Audi, and T-Mobile. Our work transcends the marketing mix, leading everything from social media or launch campaigns.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role of the Community Manager is not merely operational but also strategic, playing a key role in shaping a brand’s personality. The Community Manager serves as the link between and brand and its audience. Responsible for cultivating a positive brand image, fostering customer loyalty, and managing the brand’s online presence across various social media channels. In essence, the Community Manager is the voice of the brand, ensuring consistency across all platforms and working tirelessly to build a strong, engaged community. By fostering connections within the community and facilitating communication with the internal team to successfully manage the social media presence, using insights and learning to inform and curate content while coordinating with the brand team to ensure a consistent message across all mediums.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Responsible for posting the content
  • Quick response to the community in correct tone of voice
  • Proactively looking at trends and conversations to jump into in order to inform messaging
  • Conveying the brand’s voice and values, fostering connections within the community
  • Strategic development and execution of community objectives
  • Utilizing analytics to enhance engagement strategies and make informed decisions
  • Fostering a safe and inclusive environment within the community

QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH

MUST BE BASED IN NEW YORK

  • 5 years of experience but more importantly, experience managing high-value accounts (able to handle 60 posts a month across 5 channels)
  • Love of sports, particularly soccer is a
  • Organizational skills, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, as well as prioritizing workloads
  • Effective communication with people on all levels
  • Flexibility, team player attitude, willingness to pitch in and do anything
  • Exhibit judgment on when to elevate issues and when to resolve them independently
  • Visualize broader impact on work being done, be proactive
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Calm, collected, and collaborative demeanor
  • Passion for staying involved in projects throughout the entire process
