Job Description:

  • Work with the Sales VP/ Director on specific retail accounts and help him/her increase company sales.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries.
  • Create item set ups with the retailer.
  • Create purchase orders and follow up with shipments.
  • Gather, send, and monitor pre-production/production testing along with samples.
  • Develop knowledge of the sales function, including merchandise selection, testing, displays, etc.
  • Communicate with product development, production, and sourcing to exchange information.
  • Maintain detailed account recaps.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Merchandising background required
  • 2 years of field sales, inside sales and/or account management experience
  • Background in apparel, home textiles, or related fields a plus
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
  • Proficient in MS Office suite; excellent Excel skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
