OverviewThe Senior Network Engineer is responsible for assisting in designing and implement LBCT’s Enterprise Network Infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues, and assisting the Shift Based Network Engineers. They will also support in implementing the security teams requirements for Firewalls, Application Load Balancers and other network devices.

OverviewThe Senior Network Engineer is responsible for assisting in designing and implement LBCT’s Enterprise Network Infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues, and assisting the Shift Based Network Engineers. They will also support in implementing the security teams requirements for Firewalls, Application Load Balancers and other network devices.
Typical Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and LBCT IT Management to design and implement a functional and supportable Enterprise Network.
- Installing and configuring network hardware.
- Collaborate with the Security Team to create and implement network security measures.
- Assist and Support the Shift Based Network Engineers.
- Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets related to the Enterprise Network.
- Conduct regular network documentation reviews to ensure all network documentation is current.
- Ensure the overall Health of the Enterprise Network through using LBCT Tools.
- Coordinate with LBCT IT department to develop processes and possible IT solutions to enhance the overall performance of the terminal.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent corporate or military training.
- 8 Years Experience in Network Engineering Disciplines
- Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including: NX-OS, IOS
- Experience with the following Network Tools: SolarWinds: NPM, NCM, NFA, Cisco DNA Center
- Experience with the following Network Devices: F5 BigIP LTM with Advanced WAF, Fortigate and Palo Alto Network Firewalls
- Experience with the following Logging Tools: KiwiSyslog Server, Splunk
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- CCNA
- Hearing – Adequate to perform the essential functions of this job such as respond to cell phones and make the appropriate return call; participate in work related discussions; respond to requests and questions.
- Speaking – Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job such as respond to telephone calls in a clear, understandable voice. Communicate with VectorUSA, client and third-party personnel
- Vision – Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job such as the ability to view the jobsite, read blueprints, read scheduling board, comprehend color codes, etc.
- Mental – Ability to problem solve, ability to reason, communication skills, attention and memory, reading, writing and basic arithmetic.
- Physical Requirements – Climbing (ladders); crouching; walking; balancing; crawling; pushing; stooping; reaching; pulling; kneeling; standing; lifting; fingering; grasping; hearing; repetitive motions; exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, 20 pounds constantly.
- Work Environment – Inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes; both environmental conditions (activities occur both inside and outside); hazards (working on ladders, working in marine terminal and/or construction environments, working on high platforms/cranes, etc.); occasional use of respirator required.
