Veear Projects is Hiring a Factors Engineers/Researchers Near Cupertino, CA
We are looking for 2 experienced Human Factors Engineers/Researchers to apply user-centered design principles to the research, design, and development of new AirPods products and features. The ideal candidates should be able understand the research topic, and play a very hands-on and active part of planning/executing the study and analyzing the data gather in it. A typical day could include (but not limited to): recruit study participants, create research protocols, run user study sessions, conduct human factors tasks, analyze study results, communicate with cross functional partners. Candidates have to be able to work exceptionally well in a fast-paced environment and multitask between tasks/projects.

Assumptions Candidates must have had relevant experiences from a prior academic/professional role (especially dealing with human research and conducing studies). Good candidates usually come from the following fields: Human Factors Human Computer Interactions (HCI) User Experience/User Interface Research (UX/UI research)\ Human Studies on VR Headsets Human Physiology Research Clinical Trial or Studies
Key Qualifications
Understanding of Human Factors Research and how to conduct user studies
Ability to use Quantitative/Qualitative measures appropriately and design well-calibrated surveys to evaluate the User Experience
Experience managing calendars and scheduling participants efficiently to make sure no study spot is left not utilized
Pro-level experience with Numbers for other spreadsheet programs
Working experience with data analysis - Nice to have
Understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau) - Nice to have
Description/Key Responsibilities
The candidates will be responsible for defining research questions, designing study protocols, recruiting subjects, conducting the studies, collecting data, performing basic data analysis, and sharing learnings with key stakeholders. More details:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis of data and provide clear and concise feedback to teams in a timely manner.
Define, implement, and execute tests and user studies to validate comfort and fit of audio products
Help with development of new protocols for user studies and getting necessary approvals
Recruit subjects for studies while being mindful of diversity & inclusion criterion
Perform basic analysis of the the results collected during the study
Work closely with cross functional team members to deploy, run, and summarize results from the study
Prepare project presentations and communicate findings with key stakeholder and upper management
Success Criteria/Definition of Done
Success criteria will be creating user testing protocols and surveys, performing human factors tasks during studies adequately, recruiting the participants needed for studies, performing basic data analysis and sharing results with cross functional team and leadership.
Success is defined by running a pre-defined number of successfully executed study sessions to help us close out on key product decisions.
