Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and general labor tasks. Duties: - Prepare surfaces for painting such as sanding, scraping, and priming - Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers - Perform minor carpentry work including trim carpentry and frame carpentry - Repair and renovate walls, ceilings, doors, and other structures - Utilize knowledge of color theory to mix paints and create desired shades - Caulk gaps and cracks to ensure a smooth finish - Work with various materials including drywall, stucco, masonry, etc. Skills: - Proficiency in using hand tools essential for painting and labor tasks - Experience in construction painting with knowledge of different paint types and application methods - Familiarity with masonry work for repairs or new installations - Ability to perform trim carpentry tasks for finishing touches on projects - Knowledge of frame carpentry techniques for structural enhancements - Understanding of color theory to achieve desired color schemes and effects - Experience in caulking to seal joints and seams effectively This position requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
