Velcro USA Inc. is Hiring a PS Coating Operator - 2nd Shift Near Manchester, NH

Job Objective: Operate various coating production equipment to apply coatings and adhesives to hook and loop fabrics. Operator is responsible for making machine adjustments as required to maintain quality standards. Operator must maintain a clean work area, follow all company safety rules, while producing quality products on a timely basis, and perform other duties as assigned.

2nd Shift: 2:45pm - 10:45pm

Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow SOP and verbal instructions and become certified to operate numerous coating lines to apply a variety of coatings to hook and loop tapes.

  • Emphasis must be placed on producing a quality product within set production goals.

  • Set up coater.

  • Mix adhesives or chemicals as required.

  • Report defective product or machine malfunctions.

  • Material handling, loading and doffing rolls from production equipment.

  • Move material between processes.

  • Relocating adhesive drums when required.

  • Entering production WIP moves into the computer.

  • Manually record additional production data as required.

  • Successfully work in a team environment that stresses inter-shift communication, cross training, and willingness to corporately work toward optimizing the operation.

  • Move chemicals and or waste within the facility.

  • Maintain the chemical storage area(s) and/or waste storage area(s) in a clean and orderly manner.

  • Packages, labels, and prepares wastes for storage and transportation as requested.

  • Inspects the facility and equipment regularly.

  • Consistently produce a quality product with in takt time set.

  • May perform additional emergency response activities, including assisting in stopping or containing a release, as directed by the emergency coordinator.

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment

  • Full time presence required.

  • Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested.

  • Excellent attendance required.

  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED

  • Previous production machine operator experience.

  • Hazardous Communications, Lockout.

  • Powered Industrial Truck certification must be obtained.

  • Comprehension of production travelers.

  • Verify material to be processed.

  • Electronically enter completed production data through Oracle database.
