Position – Entry Level Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Velocity Maintenance Solutions, a leading provider of aircraft maintenance services in Wilmington, DE, is seeking an Entry Level Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in the aviation maintenance industry.
Responsibilities

Adhere to Velocity Maintenance Solutions' policies and procedures, as well as manufacturer's maintenance manuals and FAA regulations, under the guidance of senior technicians.
Assist in identifying and documenting maintenance discrepancies, while learning to perform necessary corrective actions.
Notify senior technicians of any issues related to parts, materials, workmanship, or airworthiness.
Support the team by providing detailed reports on work progression and open items.
Learn and assist in properly tagging and storing aircraft components, parts, and panels.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient aircraft maintenance operations.
Assist in performing maintenance duties, utilizing hand tools and following instructions from senior technicians.
Collaborate with the team and contribute to other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Basic understanding of aircraft maintenance concepts and procedures.
Familiarity with FAA regulations and the ability to learn and interpret technical documentation.
Proficiency in using common computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Strong willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and achieve established goals.
Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
Ability to travel occasionally, as required.

Physical Requirements

Willingness to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear, under the guidance of senior technicians.
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods while assisting with repairs.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, stooping, stretching, walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency in operating basic hand tools and ground equipment, with guidance from senior technicians.
Ability to work in confined spaces under the supervision of experienced technicians.

Non-Physical Requirements

Eagerness to learn and utilize technical manuals and instructions.
Developing mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow instructions and effectively communicate with colleagues and superiors.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and retrieval.
Willingness to occasionally travel to various locations, regardless of weather conditions, to support maintenance work.
Ability to work under supervision and follow directions from senior technicians.
