Treasury Analyst

Velocity Commercial Capital, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Velocity Financial, Inc, an NYSE-listed public company. Velocity Commercial Capital (“the Company”) is a real estate finance company founded in 2004 that primarily originates and manages investor loans secured by 1-4 unit residential rental and small commercial properties. Velocity originates loans nationwide across an extensive network of independent mortgage brokers built and refined over 20 years.

The Company is seeking to hire a full-time Treasury Analyst. This position is hybrid, full-time, with a combination of in-office and work-from-home. The Company’s offices are located in Westlake Village, CA.

This position will report to the Senior Treasury Analyst and be responsible for supporting the Company’s capital and liquidity forecasting, managing financing counterparty reporting, wire desk operations, preparation and dissemination of budget reports and assisting in the development of quarterly earnings materials for investors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly/quarterly compliance reporting process for the Company’s financing counterparties

• Support the development and maintenance of financial models used by executive management to inform planning and decision making

• Prepare Treasury Department wires and funds transfer requests

• Assist in the preparation of cash position reports and short-term liquidity forecasts

• Participate in the annual budget process and the preparation of monthly budget to actual analyses for executive management

• Support the quarterly investor relations reporting process, including development of press releases and presentations, logistics related to the quarterly investor conference call and maintaining the Company’s investor relations website

• Assist in the preparation of ad hoc analysis

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum one-year on-the-job finance-related work experience

• Detail-oriented and demonstrates sound judgment

• High level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office suite of products

• Understanding of Treasury, Commercial Banking, and Corporate Finance a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from the Manager and to interact collaboratively with all levels of the organization

• Strong organization skills that allow for completeness of work and maintaining tight deadlines

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
