Venatore is Hiring a Software Developer with Security Clearance Near Fort Belvoir, VA

Venatôre, a premier provider of IT solutions for the Department of Defense, is seeking a talented Software Developer to support Army INSCOM at Fort Belvoir in their digitization efforts. The successful candidate will possess a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of application and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications to facilitate the digitization and management of critical documents and data. This role is pivotal in enabling efficient and secure access to information essential for Army INSCOM's mission success. Key Responsibilities: · Software Development: * Design, develop, and implement software applications to support digitization processes and document management. Utilize programming languages and frameworks to create functional and user-friendly solutions.
* At least 5 years' experience with updating software or enhancing existing software capabilities. · Database Integration: * Integrate software applications with existing databases and systems to ensure seamless data exchange and synchronization.
* Develop database schemas and queries to support application functionality and data retrieval.
* At least 5 years' experience maintaining databases within an application area, by working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
· User Interface Design: * Design intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience and facilitate efficient data entry and retrieval.
* Implement user interface designs using appropriate technologies and frameworks.
· Testing and Debugging: * Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify and address defects and performance issues.
* Debug and troubleshoot software problems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
· Documentation and Collaboration: * Document software designs, development processes, and implementation details to support maintenance and future enhancements.
* Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, refine designs, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications: * Security Clearance: Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
* Experience: Proven experience in software development, preferably in a government or military environment
* Education: BS/BA Degree or years equivalent in computer science, information systems, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. * Minimum of 6 years of general experience of which at least 4 years are specialized.
· Technical Skills: * Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C , or Python.
* Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Knowledge of database systems and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.
· Problem-Solving Skills: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective software solutions.
· Communication Skills: * Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders and convey technical concepts effectively.
· Adaptability: * Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Training Requirements: Successful applicants must complete the following web-based training prior to beginning work: * Information Assurance Related Training (Cyber Awareness) * Intelligence Oversight and Civil Liberties * Operations Security (OPSEC) * Threat Awareness & Reporting Program (TARP) * Derivative Classification * Anti-Terrorism (AT) Training (Contractor) * Foreign Disclosure, Rules of the Road * Information Security (Annual Security Refresher Training – INSCOM) * DoD Mandatory Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training * Records Management Join Venatôre’s team supporting Army INSCOM at Fort Belvoir and contribute to the development of software solutions that enable efficient digitization and management of critical documents and data.
