General Description

This role in the Estimating Department requires at least 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating, particularly for highway interchanges, drainage systems, roads, and bridges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate DOT and heavy highway projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million.
  • Price labor, equipment, and materials for self-performed work.
  • Create accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
  • Analyze site risks and incorporate costs accordingly.
  • Identify constructability issues and propose value-engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Not an entry-level role; requires prior experience as an Estimator.
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience estimating bridges and utilities for DOT projects.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record.
