Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking Production Group Leaders for our manufacturing client in Dundee, MI on a direct hire basis

Shift : 7pm - 7 : 30am and a 3-2-2-3 work schedule

Duties

• Perform thorough risk assessments on all tasks and jobs to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures with direct reports, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Support the training of team members, both new and experienced, to help them reach their full potential and strengthen the company's structure.
• Foster associate engagement and interaction to enhance team retention.
• Ensure that job duties are performed in accordance with written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and parts to ensure they are sufficient for the shift's operations.
• Respond promptly to process and quality issues, taking necessary actions to resolve them and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead the unit tech for the shift by assigning duties and following up on maintenance activities, both preventive and reactive.
• Conduct beginning shift meetings to communicate information from the outgoing shift, review safety topics, recognize performance, and engage the team.
• Generate reports on production performance, key operating parameters, and other aspects related to safety, quality, and maintenance.
• Issue associate communications to address performance issues as needed, ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Associates / Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous experience as a peer leader
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
• Experience providing on-the-job training & task guidance to others
• Experience using computer programs, such as SAP
• Excellent problem-solving & decision-making skills
• Drive to continuously improve
• Ability to lift & move up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
