VENTEON is hiring a Procurement and Supply Chain Consultant to support a company that is building a manufacturing plant. You will assess the company and its current supply chain and procurement operations. Deliver advice and recommend changes in processes, procedures and technology. Ensure proper sourcing, negotiation, contract management and supplier management takes place now and going forward.

POSITION TYPE: 6 Month Contract. Open to residents of Sumpter, South Carolina. Also open for USA Field Service Candidates. (Daily per diem for hotel/food only).

PAY: $90,000-$115,000 annual. Negotiable based on level of experience.

Requirements of the Procurement and Supply Chain Consultant:

• College degree with in- depth knowledge in Supply Chain operations , or a field related field preferred.
• Highly talented person experienced in manufacturing or plant construction.
• Ability to understand highly complex concepts. Knowledge of technical matters in supply chain and procurement.
• Experience leading full life cycle cost management on medium or large sized projects.
• Solid planning and analysis skills. Negotiation skills. Able to communicate effectively and meet project deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to supervise team members.

Duties of the Procurement and Supply Chain Consultant:

• Work with the management teams to identify problems with procurement, inventory, storage, and distribution. Observe current supply chain functions.
• Coordinate with different departments to gather necessary data, identifying strengths and weaknesses in supply chain and procurement operations.
• Perform consulting, analyzing each step of the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing alternatives.
• Assist in inventory management, demand forecasting, coordinating logistics, analyzing data for process improvement and collaborating with suppliers and internals teams.
• Evaluate the flow of materials, information, and finances across the supply chain network. Redesign the supply chain network where needed. Analyze and reconcile changes for effectiveness.
• Work proactively to resolve material scheduling and logistical issues.
• Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations to drive fair contract prices. Maintain cost controls and change management activities.
• Produce and present reports.
• Make recommendations for policy, process and IT changes. Develop short and long range plans for reducing errors , driving supply chain efficiency, and reducing costs
