Position OverviewThe Warehouse Manager candidate is a meticulous planner who is responsible for maintaining a safe, smooth, secure and efficient warehouse operation. Responsibilities include facility maintenance, vehicle & equipment maintenance, personnel management, inventory control, in-bound inventory storage, order picking and out-bound shipping. Manager will operate in a professional, ethical and courteous manner with the goal of assuring total customer satisfaction with the company’s goods & services. We are seeking a working manager.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesManager is responsible for the operations, facilities and personnel at our distribution center.
RELATIONSHIPS:The Warehouse Manager reports to the operation manager but will have dotted-line reporting responsibilities to the company president, retail store manager, controller and retail office manager to ensure efficient operations. Manager is expected to maintain professional and cordial communications with all other department managers in order to foster good relationships within the organization and assure total customer satisfaction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Keen knowledge of common business practices, POS, warehousing best practices, logistics, safety, OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, budgets and Excel spreadsheets. Must have five (5) years warehouse/logistics managerial experience, and valid California driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and be willing to undergo a criminal/theft background check.

- Recruit, hire, train and supervise warehouse and support personnel
- Establish, train, monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor quality control & customer satisfaction
- Establish loss prevention policies/procedures & monitor security systems
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse facility including docks and yards
- Maintain equipment and vehicle logs
- Oversee procedures & protocols for merchandise receipt, handling, storage and order picking and staging
- Oversee company’s recycling operations
- Maintain proper inventory documentation, supervise data entry, bar coding operations
- Report shipping/receiving shortages, overages
- Maintain (FIFO) inventory control & conduct precise and accurate cycle inventories as required.
- Manage all aspects of return logistics management.
- Manage all distressed inventory handling including coordinating service repairs
- Route all deliveries based on best efficiency and customer’s special requests. Ensure that deliveries are completed on time, avoiding unnecessary trips.
- Maintain a positive relationship with company’s internal and external customers
