Venture Lynk is looking for an experienced Staff Attorney for our client. Our client is a health care technology company that is currently in hyper growth mode. As a member of this team, The Staff Attorney - Office of General Counsel will leverage a broad range of legal experience and expertise to guide senior leadership on all laws and regulations applicable within the healthcare industry. This role will ensure all business policies and practices comply with all applicable laws at the federal, state and local levels with an emphasis on Medicare, Medicaid and employment law matters.

WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

• Provide legal counsel and guidance to senior leadership on all healthcare-related legal matters and employment laws, including policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Anticipate and identify legal issues to mitigate risk. Develop legal strategies and solutions, often in situations of great political, public relations or financial risk.
• Manage compliance and risk mitigation.
• Review, research, interpret, and prepare written and oral opinions on various legal issues to protect the organization’s interests.
• Draft, review, and approve policies, procedures, regulations, bylaws, and other legal documents.
• Research legal issues and review contracts and other legal documents; recommend revisions as necessary.
• Represent or oversee the organization's and senior management's representation in judicial and administrative proceedings and negotiations with other agencies.
• Supervise legal work of other paralegals and outside counsel; consult on difficult or sensitive issues.
• Keep abreast of the latest legal developments in the healthcare industry.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

ATTRIBUTES NEEDED FOR THE ROLE

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Seven years’ of General practice experience
• Experience with Employment Laws, Risk Management, Contracts, Medicare and Medicaid insurance, and Medicare Compliance/Audit.
• Strong intrapersonal, written, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to train employees in legal requirements, contract law, and legal research.
• Comfortable anticipating legal risk and making high-stakes decisions.
• High level of business ethics and problem-solving capability.
• In-depth knowledge of the laws and legal limitations applicable to the healthcare industry.
• Experience navigating the judicial system within a network of local and regional resources.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage legal documentation, procedures, and litigation.
• Excited about working for a young, very entrepreneurial, high-growth company.
• Healthcare and/or computer science technology industry experience desired.
• US Citizen.
• Ability to pass a background check.
