Position : Field Practice Manager - Microsoft practice

Location : Houston, TX / Chicago, IL / Mountain View, CA

Duration : Full time 

A Field Practice Manager – Microsoft practice provides technology and consulting guidance to clients on how to leverage Wipro’s Advanced Technologies Practice Microsoft capabilities in order to meet the client organization IT and business objectives. They work closely with the Industry Vertical sales and Practice teams to drive pre-sales efforts and grow the business in the CE geography

The Technology Spectrum involves but is not limited to:

• Microsoft Solutions – Microsoft Office 365 (Messaging & SharePoint), Azure, SharePoint/Modern Web technologies (.NET, MVC, JavaScript Frameworks, Responsive Design), Microsoft Business Intelligence/Analytics stack, Biz Talk Server

• Business Collaboration – Omni-Channel, Sales and Servicing, Customer Experience, Web 2.0, Portals 

• Enterprise Business Integration – B2B and Application to Application Integration Solutions, Enterprise Mobility, Business Process Management (BPM), SOA, Data Integration, Architecture

Typical Requirements for Field Practice Manager – Microsoft Practice include:

• Collaborate closely with the Global teams to develop proposals, presentations, statement of work (SOW) and proactively recommend strategies around Microsoft technologies

• Provide thought leadership & IT transformation recommendations at senior leadership. 

• Should be able to execute short term strategic consulting projects, assessments, POC/pilots, map solutions to client business processes, and develop value proposition and business case.

• Work with alliance teams to proactive generate traction for Microsoft Collaboration opportunities

• Ability to pro-actively and re-actively manage customer escalations at various levels.

• Experience in driving team and managing internal stakeholders in various financial models.

• Understanding the industry in a specific SBU and aligning the technology roadmap for transformation deals

• Experience in selling, managing, and delivering large scale Microsoft engagements

• Must be MCTS certified in SharePoint or .NET, Preferably Microsoft Masters Certified.

• Ability and experience to create Enterprise strategy for customers.

• Experience in Software Development Lifecycle, Application Maintenance engagements

Field Practice Manager – Microsoft Solutions - Qualifications and Expectations:

• Total Work Experience : 15 Years, 8 years in Consulting and/or Program Management

• Technology Experience : 2 Yrs, Office 365 & 5 yrs SharePoint experience (Chicago) a must, other MS tech. a plus, 2 Yrs, Azure & 5 yrs SharePoint experience (Houston) 

• Presales, Sales : 8 years in Sales, should have managed $25M revenue

• Industry Focus : Experience in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Pharma industry preferred

• Education : Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science or higher

• Other Skills Required : Excellent communication, Team player, Flexible, Result Oriented

• Alignment to Role : Should have worked in a fast-paced growth, experience working in a Global Delivery Model with a major IT Services of Software Organization preferred. Experience working with complex transformation projects preferred. Should have interacted significantly with VP and above in CIO and Business groups, for Fortune 500 organizations.
