About the Role:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the achievement of the sales and profit objectives for their assigned territory/industry. Works closely with the Branch Manager and Inside Sales group in establishing the territory sales targets to maximize sales targets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains and grows BPS outside sales for an assigned area/specialty/industry.
- Constantly works to build relationships and good will for the company within the industry.
- Works with Branch Manager to develop outside sales plan for assigned area.
- Tracks and reports weekly on outside sales activities.
- Aware and tracks competitive/market intelligence for outside sales for assigned territory/industry.
- Develops and manages quotes for outside sales opportunities.
- Responsible for making and tracking sales calls, developing and maintaining sales territory.
- Actively promotes new and existing products and services to add value to the customer and sales process.
- Communicates with Branch Manager on progress against monthly sales and profit targets.
- Works with Inside Sales team on customer growth and conversion.
- Additional duties as needed.

Requirements
- Five or more years of outside sales experience as a sales leader in the pipe, value and fittings or a related industry.
- Proven experience building an outside sales territory and achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Experience utilizing and maximizing account management activities.
- Ability to interface with all teammates and departments within BPS.
- Self motivated work style that doesn't require a lot of oversight to exceed targets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to create strong relationships.
- Prior experience with a CRM system a plus.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Driving required.
- Ability to pass background screening as required.
Salary Description
80k to 120k annually DOE
