About the Position

VENUS Fashion, Inc. is hiring a Design Intern to support Design team in our Jacksonville office. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry. Our Design team works in close collaboration with our Fashion Merchandising (Buying) & Fashion Sourcing teams. 

Responsibilities

Assist Design Team:

1. Support fashion designers with day-to-day tasks and projects.
2. Contribute to the design process from concept to final product.

Organization and Management:

1. Keep design resources and materials well-organized.
2. Manage and update physical and digital files, including prints and fabric swatches.

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM):

1. Use I Products PLM software to track and update design elements.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the PLM system.

Design Software Proficiency:

1. Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating and editing design components.
2. Create sketches and illustrations using Procreate.
3. Experiment with AI tools to enhance design workflows.

Updating BOM and CADs:

1. Assist in updating Bill of Materials (BOM) for various designs.
2. Create and modify CADs (Computer-Aided Designs) as required.

Print Management:

1. Check in new prints and ensure they are properly cataloged and organized.
2. Maintain an orderly system for accessing and referencing prints.

Collaboration and Communication:

1. Work closely with team members to ensure alignment and efficiency.
2. Communicate effectively with different departments to facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Procreate.
• Familiarity with PLM systems, particularly I Products PLM, is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A creative mindset with a passion for fashion and design.
