Veo - Corporate Careers is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Santa Monica, CA

This is a hybrid role that requires three days a week in our Santa Monica headquarters. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts timely, thoughtful, thorough, confidential investigations into a range of employee concerns, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to employee issues/concerns regarding policies and disciplinary actions and provide feedback to managers to ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Ensures consistency in the interpretation and application of HR policies and practices across the organization.
  • Leads organization Talent Management process. 
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of regulations and obligations, with a focus on mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Create and update HR policies and procedures that drive compliance and align with business objectives; conduct trainings on compliance with policies and procedures
  • Partner with the Head of People and Leadership team, provide counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Analyze employee relations trends with Leadership and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs and policies.
  • Provides guidance, expert interpretation of policy, and training to the Company to minimize potential adverse impact of compliance issues and complaints.
  • Review Incoming personal injury claims, investigate claims and details of the claims.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years of experience with workplace investigations (preference for experience investigating allegations of harassment, discrimination and retaliation); Master’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, which govern employment policies and practices
  • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Experience successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Strong business acumen
  • Evidence of exceptional ability

Compensation: 

The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $90,000 Annual Performance Bonus Equity (Stock Options) Full Range of Benefits. Veo is a total compensation company, and pay is determined by geographic cost of labor and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training - so not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $80,000 to $95,000 per year. While this is our expected range, bonuses for this role are designed to have unlimited upside potential, so additional earning opportunities may be available. 

Note: Veo benefit, bonus and stock programs may be subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program. The listed range is a good faith estimate, and exact compensation and total package may vary depending on market conditions and performance.
