We are seeking a visionary and experienced Cyber Security and GDPR Manager to lead our cybersecurity initiatives and protect our digital assets.

The Cyber Security and GDPR Manager at Veo will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive information security strategy. This executive role involves overseeing all aspects of cybersecurity, including risk management, incident response, compliance, and security architecture. The role also covers GDPR compliance and requires strong leadership skills, and a strategic vision to safeguard our data and systems across all relevant areas eg. hardware and software product development, marketing, sales, IT, finance and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust information security strategy aligned with Veo's goals and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the design and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls to protect digital assets, sensitive information and customers access to the Veo platform
  • Oversee the management of security operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with product development teams, marketing, sales, IT, finance and operations to integrate security measures into all aspects of Veo's operations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards such as NIST, GDPR legislation, penetration programs etc.
  • Provide strategic guidance, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters, including communication with senior leadership, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to address emerging risks proactively
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in information security, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role
  • Professional certifications are highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
