Job SummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving all activities for key commercial production of exclusive products at the Veranova Devens manufacturing site. They are the primary interface for the customer on technical and project issues and work closely with the site General Manager, site Technology Manager, Business Development, and program core team to ensure the program is on time and on budget.
This is a hybrid role with three days onsite at our Devens, MA facility.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Serves as the primary interface to commercial clients on technical and project issues. Ensures that each program milestone is delivered in line with agreed objectives. This may be one or more clients dependent upon the size of the program.
  • Responsible for building strong relationships of trust and collaboration with the team, ensuring that the needs of the customer as well as the cross functional team are met.
  • Partners with the Production Technology Manager to ensure the production schedule is maintained; assist with mitigating scheduling conflicts, and support manufacturing investigations.
  • Directs, leads, and motivates a multi-disciplinary team and holds team members accountable to deliver results. Helps drive a culture of achievement and accountability within the teams.
  • Responsible for identifying and solving complex problems across varying and multiple workstreams with inter-connected parts.
  • Accountable for managing all program communication (i.e., weekly customer meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, KPIs, project spend, presentations to the Leadership Team).
  • Ensures that all key stakeholders are knowledgeable of program KPIs, plans, program status and decisions through regular reporting and communication.
  • Works collaboratively with Business Development in addressing out of scope deliverables and preparing project proposals.
Qualifications
  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Must have CDMO industry experience
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience hands on process, analytical, or manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience managing large commercial programs for key clients.
  • Experience collaborating with operations and executive management to drive profitability.
  • Exceptional program communication experience is essential (verbal and written).
  • Experience with facilitating weekly customer meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and presentations to the Leadership Team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority, motivate with enthusiasm, and develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive management.
  • An understanding of cGMP’s as they relate to drug substance manufacturing referred.
  • Experience with the regulatory aspects of the drug approval process preferred.
