- Lead production activities within the designated department, ensuring adherence to established protocols and quality standards.
- Train department team members, including agency personnel, to optimize performance and productivity.
- Coordinate production activities, effectively managing resources to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for department inquiries, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor team performance and attendance, addressing issues promptly and escalating to department Supervisor or Manager when necessary.
- Act as a subject matter expert on production machines within the department, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
- Relay operational concerns and recommendations to the Production Manager, contributing to process improvement initiatives.
- Review and maintain production quality control measures, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Promote shop floor organization and plant cleanliness through adherence to 6S principles.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Lead in a manufacturing or warehouse facility.
- Strong customer focus with exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, Quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
- Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Regularly perform tasks on hard floors, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and stooping.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance, including voluntary or mandatory overtime.
