Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. The Cable Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of data communication systems.

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems including copper and fiber optic cables
- Perform network installations and ensure proper connections
- Test and troubleshoot network systems using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Splice fiber optic cables as needed
- Configure and install network equipment such as Cisco routers
- Utilize hand tools for cable termination and installation
- Provide technical support to customers as necessary

Requirements:

- Proficiency in computer networking and network installation
- Experience with Ethernet, fiber splicing, and low voltage systems
- Knowledge of mechanical components related to cable systems
- Familiarity with using tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills in troubleshooting network issues
