Job Description

Join our Legal, Compliance and Audit (LC&A) operations team in our Jersey City, NJ headquarters where we have a flexible hybrid work model.

• Review, negotiate and draft contracts and standardized templates pertaining to new products, license agreements, product supplements, new master agreements, renewal amendments, statements of work, security addendums, etc.
• Effectively partner with the Law department, product owners and subject matter experts to ensure successful negotiations, resulting in effective agreements which have properly mitigated risk.
• Identify incoming client contracts to quality check and ensure that all approvals are in place prior to final execution.
• Manage relationships with Sales, product owners, business units, Finance, Customer Service, Compliance, Audit, Claims Senior Leadership and others to implement and/or improve contracting workflows, including processing and tracking contracts within CRM and CLM.
• Ad-hoc projects as assigned
• Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
• Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD degree strongly preferred
• 3-5 years experience with contract management including drafting, revising and negotiating
• Solid understanding of contract law, contract language and principles, and applicable legislation
• Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and corporate data risk contract terms strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment while independently managing a large workload
• Ability to work proactively with other business units
• Ability to communicate with the internal client independently (email/conference calls)
• Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
• Strong organization, effective planning, problem solving, and analytical skills required
• Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to liaise comfortably with all levels of management
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations or urgent requests that may arise with little or no notice
• Must exhibit initiative and assertiveness in obtaining information needed to proceed with projects and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
