This facility, with over 180 beds, is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and Magnet designated, providing exceptional care to children across the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties. The hospital also boasts a growing network of primary and specialty care locations throughout the Philadelphia suburbs and New Jersey, ensuring that pediatric health conditions can be treated close to home.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Registered Dietitian II, you will provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to pediatric patients, specifically those admitted to the medical surgery and oncology floors. Your responsibilities will include:

ResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Registered Dietitian II, you will provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to pediatric patients, specifically those admitted to the medical surgery and oncology floors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing comprehensive nutrition assessments and diagnosing nutrition-related problems.
- Implementing targeted nutrition interventions and monitoring outcomes using the Nutrition Care Process.
- Writing medical nutrition orders and participating in EMR order entry for various nutrition support methods.
- Educating patients and parents on nutrition and participating in ongoing education programs for hospital staff and community groups.
- Engaging in performance improvement and outcome research activities.
- Strong clinical nutrition knowledge in pediatric clinical nutrition, oncology, and nutrition support.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Independent functioning and effective time management skills.
- Knowledge of oral nutrition supplements, infant and pediatric formulas, enteral nutrition support, and intravenous feedings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Committee on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Licensure in Pennsylvania (LDN) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of two years of related experience as a Clinical Registered Dietitian, with pediatric clinical experience preferred.
- Advanced degree or specialty certification (CSP, CNSC, CDE, CLC, CSO, IBCLC) required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire as approved by the Director of Clinical Nutrition.
- Credentials, PDP, and licensure must be maintained.
