What you'll be doing...We're looking for someone who can use data to craft strategy and solutions to join our team. You'll analyze internal and external data to help identify and quantify the potential of new products, forecast sales, and provide decision support through the life of the product. As a lead data engineer you will be focusing on collecting data from multiple sources in various formats and loading the data using various tools and frameworks as required. You will be expanding and optimizing data and the data pipeline architecture. You will also be working with partners to understand requirements and effectively prioritize for their implementation.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $107,000.00 and $217,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

- Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.
- Building secure, scalable, and stable data solutions using data storage technologies, distributed file system, data processing, and business intelligence best practices.
- Work with the business to gather requirements, assess gaps, recommend solutions, and build systems and mechanisms to help the analytics-driven organization achieve its goals.
- Direct the preparation, cleaning, and processing of data for use in modeling and prototypes.
- Identify gaps and implement solutions for data security, quality, and automation of processes.
- Provide guidance to the maintenance, bug fixes, and performance analysis along the data pipeline.
- Perform system analysis, data analysis or programming, using a variety of computer languages and procedures.
- Develop the plans and write new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses.
- Engage in assigned projects and ad-hoc requests in which a specific business problem is presented and requires investigation and deep data analysis.

- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in data engineering tools and technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting data issues.
- Experience in complex SQL.
- Master's degree.
- Certification on data engineering tools and technologies.
- Experience with large cluster, databases, BI tools, data quality and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages. Ideally, Python or Perl
- Experience working on cloud technologies.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
