What you'll be doing...You will explore what our people need to learn to be even better. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture. You will be leading a team to craft learning solutions that are engaging, fun and most importantly build those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the future. This role will be specifically focused on supporting Verizon's Global Network & Technology and Global Technology Solutions teams.
  • Collaborating with partners to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
  • Leading and mentoring your team to build learning solutions.
  • Managing team workload, setting priorities, allocating resources, and overcoming challenges to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
  • Evaluating program efficiency and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Providing regular updates to leadership on progress and results achieved.
This position can sit in any valid Verizon domestic corporate hub location.What we're looking for...You enjoy working as a trusted advisor with business leaders and determining the best ways for your team to deliver learning to meet training needs. You're passionate about assessing the impact learning solutions have on the business and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. Your ability to support others and encourage their creativity to produce great learning solutions for our employees drives and motivates you.
You'll need to have:
  • Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2024.
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience building custom learning solutions using alternative modalities and technology Leadership experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A degree preferably in HR or Learning and Development.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience building trusting relationships and influencing at senior levels.
  • Experience motivating and encouraging a team to create strong learning experiences leading to desired business outcomes.
  • Experience balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
