This critical position is responsible for leading Workforce Management planning in VVO ensuring channel volumes are forecasted, scheduling is optimized with partner staffing, routing and skilling planning supports attainment goals and shrink is managed and reconciled. This Leadership position will focus on strategic development of workforce planning, as well as cross-team partnerships to align with delivery of key short/long term business outcomes.
This role must be able to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization to align the vision and orchestrate execution to the delivery of the strategy. This role will need to be a steward of outside-in benchmarking, industry trends, and closely aligned with current and future financial targets.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Implementing and documenting functions and processes that support departmental strategy, including routing/skilling plans, shrink management, staff management, volume forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Being accountable for cost savings via process implementations and improvements, plan and strategy adjustments.
  • Creating slides/content that easily tells a story of where we stand as a business in regards to our workforce.
  • Using reporting and analytics to identify opportunities, document findings and prepare recommendations for system, process and organizational improvements.
  • Accountable for the effective leadership of internal and vendor teams, including properly leveraging Verizon's V-Team Principles.
  • Training and managing the activities for maximum productivity of a discipline through subordinate professionals. Guiding by function or department practices and well defined management precedents.
  • Case studies and on-site observations of operations for strategy planning, cost analysis, and organizational change proposals.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally on various projects and initiatives to achieve organizational and departmental targets.
  • Must be able to travel internationally per business needs
What we're looking for...
In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager or at a minimum eight days per month, typically equating to two days per week.
You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Workforce management, Strategic planning, and/or forecasting experience
  • The ability to motivate a team.
Even better if you have one or more of the following;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to build and lead high performing teams, bonus if you have previous experience managing remote teams
  • Contact center customer sales and service experience
  • Laser focus on driving shareholder value

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $87,000.00 and $176,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
