What you'll be doing...You'll be driving continuous improvements to the systems and processes in our Network supply chain to make it all more efficient and minimize our risk. N&OP (Network & Operations Planning) is Verizon's version of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). This entails linking budget planning, capital management, demand planning, and supply planning together in an integrated process. You'll work across functions to implement projects that will help bring our products to market faster and improve our service levels for an even better customer experience.

- Assessing our current supply chain and identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Proposing potential projects, gaining buy-in, and implementing system and process changes.
- Communicating compelling business cases and project plans to support and carry out your ideas.
- Leading cross-functional project teams in implementing large-scale supply chain IT solutions.
- Building capabilities, training, and mentoring supply chain partners to improve performance and reduce risk.
- Developing metrics and measuring compliance and reporting on results. And making further improvements.
- Managing our Executive N&OP metrics, business processes, and executive meetings to drive aligned decisions across the Verizon Finance, Network, and Supply Chain practice areas. The purpose is to drive Just in Time (JIT) inventory and working capital optimization.
- Executive meeting calendar management and in turn stakeholder management skills will be especially important to this role in order to drive decision-making outcomes from the N&OP process.
- Management of executive inventory targets, strategies to drive working capital management, and linking different supply chain planning disciplines together are critical functional skill sets of N&OP. Weekly and monthly activities will be organized by this role to link capital management, demand management, and supply management together.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Supply chain experience.
- A degree.
- APICS certification (or an equivalent supply chain certification).
- 6-Sigma Process Excellence or Lean Green Belt.
- Supply chain experience, specifically pertaining to manufacturing, third-party manufacturing, sourcing, or procurement.
- Experience in the telecom, high tech or CPG industries.
- Managed large-scale, complex projects with structured project management approaches.
- Worked with global partners from around the world.
