Position : Veterinary Assistant

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatment
• Monitor hospitalized pets and maintain inventory
• Prepare prescriptions and perform routine laboratory work
• Educate clients on veterinary care
• Help with surgical procedures

Essential Responsibilities :

• Assist veterinarians in exams and surgeries
• Collect samples and perform laboratory tests
• Take and develop radiographs
• Administer medications and monitor treatments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the practice
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols

Requirements :

• Previous veterinary experience is preferred
• Ability to work weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Capacity to lift patients and equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety techniques and basic math skills
• Strong communication and computer skills
