Our success depends on effective community engagement and collaboration with municipalities and permitting entities, making this position a crucial part of our growth strategy.Job Description:Vero Fiber is seeking a passionate and results-driven Community Relations Specialist to play a pivotal role in launching new fiber markets by interfacing with the residents and communities of our new markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with local government bodies, HOAs, and residents, and ensuring a smooth and efficient entry into new communities. This is a unique opportunity for a talented professional to make a lasting impact on the expansion of high-speed internet access.Key Responsibilities: 
  1.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Vero Fiber, such as construction, engineering, and fulfillment, to understand project progression and identify marketing and relationship opportunities. 
  2. Address any community concerns, disputes, or issues that may arise during the deployment process, providing effective and timely solutions.
  3. Attend community events and provide updates and communication within the communities, including understanding Vero construction and actions and being able to relay those to key stakeholders in the community. 
  4. Provide regular reports and updates to the senior management team regarding potential issues, pain points, and concerns the communities and government entities may have. 
  5. Maintain an online presence across social media platforms, advertising Vero events and monitoring concerns or complaints. 
  6. Manage a centralized community distribution and phone to address concerns, disputes, or issues that may arise during the deployment process, providing effective and timely solutions.
  7. Tracking and resolving basic construction complaints and damages, ensuring all construction related issues are resolved within 72 hours by the respective team. 
  8. Provide an excellent customer service experience to all residents of our communities. 
  9. Additional items as relevant to maintaining Vero in good standing with residents, municipalities, HOAs and other critical stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in public or community relations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to Vero communities within an established market.
  • Experience across Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Sharepoint, and Excel. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Permitting and/or constructionexperience
  • Previous telecommunications and/or broadband industry experience
  • Experience with communicating with government entities and municipalities
