Position Overview:Verra Mobility seeks an ambitious and skilled communicator to help drive effective public relations and public affairs campaigns that advance the Government Solutions business strategy. Reporting into the Government Solutions Marketing team, professionalism is a must as you will be the face of Verra Mobility to clients and government officials, interacting with them daily, and helping to understand and meet their needs. This role leads client public information programs by crafting compelling narratives and executing awareness initiatives that articulate our value and advocate for our solutions within government agencies. This person will be an important brand ambassador who supports a range of strategic communications initiatives to include campaign management, thought leadership creation, copywriting, advocacy engagement programs, and proof of performance. The ideal candidate will be an articulate spokesperson with a talent for managing multiple clients simultaneously, an ability to find new public relations opportunities, and is eager to push the business unit's public relations efforts to the next level.

Responsibilities
- Manages client public information programs to include relationship building, program advisement, and content creation. This role will be the primary content creator for client programs which expands beyond press releases, web content, and social media posts.
- Maintains relationships with key clients to include city officials and staff. This role will employ those relationships and client insights to include identifying and delivering case study references and customer story content to elevate Verra Mobility's public relations efforts.
- Writes, edits, and proofreads various written and electronic materials for the company using AP Style, and on behalf of its clients, including researching market material statistics and fact-checking company and government collateral to ensure quality and correctness.
- Produces communications projects and awareness campaigns that drive messaging and support business objectives using partner organizations.
- Collaborates with account managers and client support specialists to accommodate client needs with data inquiries, public records requests, and public information advisement.
- Creates and contributes collateral for the department and clients to include social media content, articles, graphics, scripts, and press releases.
- Supports company public and media relations functions within the business unit to include, but not limited to, copyrighting, content development, and other strategic communications efforts.
- Draws from policy, technical, or legislative material and is able to communicate the main points into audience-specific content.
- Manages and organizes multiple projects simultaneously, on time, and with the ability to prioritize project deliverables according to deadlines and department objectives.
- Compiles and maintains customer testimonials and collateral repository to include identifying and delivering case study references and customer story content.
- Partners with the marketing team to shape objectives and capitalize on new opportunities to position Verra Mobility as the industry leader.
- A degree in communications, public affairs, public relations, English, journalism, or a similar area of study is preferred.
- Five years of experience in a comparable position to include client management or a spokesperson role. Proven oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing client communications or public affairs strategies is a plus to include any government or policy awareness experience.
- Project management and keen organizational skills are necessary to process multiple clients and deliverables simultaneously.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to create communication collateral – InDesign, Photoshop & Premier Pro – is a bonus!
