Package - $350,000 - $650,000 Basic Salary(dep on Portable Book Size) Bonus

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Partner Level Environmental Attorney to play a prominent role in the growth of a vibrant National Law Firm at a critical stage of evolution. From small-scale permitting concerns to multimillion-dollar enforcement actions,

Responsibilities:

· Handling enforcement actions in administrative and judicial venues where an agency seeks cost recovery, fines, corrective action, natural resource damages, and criminal sanctions

· Preparing and responding to agency inspections and investigations, including those with criminal implications

· Contesting unfeasible or unreasonable permit conditions

· Defense of private parties alleging environmental liability for remediation liability, cost contribution, property damage, and injuries to human

· Assisting clients with regulatory matters allowing clients operations to continue consistent with permit limits, sustainability and ESG goals.

· Advising on the application and negotiation of permits to build in the areas of Air, Waste Management, Wastewater, Underground storage tanks, Site Remediation, Spill reporting and Chemical Use

Requirements:

• Skilled Environmental Litigation expert AND/OR strong Environmental Regulatory Compliance background (air, water, waste, chemicals, site remediation), due diligence/contracting (reps/warranties and indemnifications) for land and corporate transactions.
• A Portable book size of circa $650,000 .
• Ideally based California, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, Washington, DC, and Wisconsin. Hybrid work arrangements are also able to be considered
