DESCRIPTION-

Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit (MICU/SICU)

RN - MICU/SICU ICU FLOAT POOL

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Critical Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
• Carries out physician orders.
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
• Provides cardiopulmonary management and monitoring for patients.
• Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Instructs and educates patients and families.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit (MICU/SICU)

RN - MICU/SICU ICU

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Critical Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• 2 years of recent (within the last year or two) acute care Critical Care RN experience within unit required
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire
• BSN is preferred
