DESCRIPTION-
Registered Nurse - Operating Room
RN - OR
Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Operating Room will have the following job responsibilities:
- You will complete age appropriate assessment of patient on arrival to surgical suite.
- You will assist with the care of the patient during anesthesia induction and/or prepare the patient for local anesthesia.
- You will create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
- You will perform correct surgical preps.
- You will accurately document and report patient care.
- You will demonstrate competency for all surgical specialties and equipment.
- You will participate in staff and self-development.
- You will assist with the orientation of new employees.
- You will complete annual department competencies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-
Registered Nurse - Operating Room
RN - OR
Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Operating Room must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
- Candidate must have successfully completed an accredited RN program.
- ADN is required, BSN preferred
- All candidates must have an RN license in the State of TX COMPACT nursing state, or have the ability to obtain one.
- Must have at least 1 year of recent Operating Room experience
- Must have BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
