Roles & Responsibilities
- Create detailed drawings of assemblies, installations, and parts as needed.
- Analyze designs to determine the mechanical design requirements.
- Document ECO's
- Prepare design concepts, cost estimates, and final drawing packages.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Resource and technical problem solver for new product pre-production and new product release.
- Analyze and design for manufacturability.
- Execute product designs and other project responsibilities.
- Work with manufacturing to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.
- Partner with production engineering to develop and test manufacturing processes by designing and altering equipment for the fabrication, assembling, and installation process.
- Responsible for design changes.
- Ensure design files are kept up to date and stored, following department procedures.
- BSME preferred or AA in mechanical design.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience desired
- SolidWorks 3D is required, additionally AutoCAD knowledge is ideal.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- High mechanical aptitude and familiarity with metal fabrication processes.
- Basic knowledge and/or experience with engineering procedures, process documentation, and work instructions are preferred.
- Detail orientated.
- The attitude of a continuous learner, eager to continue developing skills.
