Role Overview:

As the Head of Energy Engineering, you will oversee our Engineering Team, managing the strategic execution of our services and enhancing efficiency through AI tools. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects, promoting team growth, and fostering innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically lead Energy Audits, Water Audits, and Retro-Commissioning projects, integrating AI tools to improve project workflows and efficiency.
• Oversee data collection and analysis, employing AI for enhanced precision and speed.
• Develop and maintain project tracking tools to ensure timely, budget-aligned completion of projects.
• Mentor the team in identifying and implementing Energy, Water, and Retro-Commissioning Measures, emphasizing technology for better outcomes.
• Ensure excellence in report writing, presentations, and client interactions, leveraging AI for data analysis and visualization.
• Manage utility bill analyses and data logger installations, utilizing AI for predictive analytics and recommendations.
• Encourage team development, advocating for continuous learning and technology adoption.
• Maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring top-level service and leveraging AI tools for project management.
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control of Energy Audit Reports.

Qualifications:

• Current PE (Professional Engineer) License.
• 4 - 5 years of relevant energy engineering experience, with a strong foundation in HVAC, lighting, and energy efficiency.
• 1 - 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers and analysts, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience working with California building code (Title 24) and familiarity with California utility companies.
• Proficiency in applying AI tools to enhance engineering workflows and project results.
• Experience with AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, etc)

Required Certifications:

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP)
• Professional Engineer License (PE)

Additional Preferred Certifications:

• Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification
• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional

Pay: $100,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
