V2X is seeking a procurement professional to join the Modernization & Sustainment Acquisition team. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, awarding, documenting, and managing suppliers for both material and service-based requirements. In this role, the person will be responsible for placing requirements on purchase orders in the most efficient and compliant manner.

Responsibilities:

• Identify qualified suppliers for program requirements.
• RFQ (request for quote) activities.
• Analyze supplier quotes and make sourcing decisions.
• Supplier negotiations on price, lead times, and terms & conditions.
• Purchase Order documentation.
• Post-award ownership in accordance with company directives and work instructions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to balance workload by multi-tasking.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Prior procurement experience.
• Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects.)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.).
• Experience with Six Sigma and productivity improvement.
