Traffic Controller

Duties:
  • Direct traffic at construction sites or events to ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs.
  • Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to provide instructions and guidance.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed.
  • Report any incidents or safety hazards to supervisors or law enforcement.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a traffic controller is required (6 months - 1 year)

  • Experience using Portable Message signs, sign installation, TC-1 reports, & any other certifications is preferred.
  • Experience with pulling trailers is preferred.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for long periods of time.

- Worksite Traffic Control Supervisor certification is preferred. - Flagging certification required.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
