JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Role: Material Control Specialist II
Duration: W2 Long Term Contract (possibilities of extension)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Material Control Specialist II to efficiently ensure the availability of the right parts at the right time, supporting the Plant Spartanburg production program and Material Supply targets. The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, knowledge of SAP, and a strong sense of practicality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BA/BS degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 4 years in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, TAIS preferred), strong communication skills (verbal and written), leadership skills, and proficiency in German or Spanish (preferred).
Must have: good communication skills, knowledge of SAP and good common sense
Strongly preferred: candidates with SPAB experience- (I.E. experience with sequencing (reading sequence, call-offs, etc.)
1.Material Planning including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

3.Automotive experience or electrical parts experience
4.SPAB experience- (I.E., experience with sequencing (reading sequence, call-off’s, etc.)
5.Supply chain planning including cost analysis.
6.Project management.
Work from home: After initial 3 months of onboarding, can start 1 day per week working from home on rotating team schedule.
Travel: 10% (locally)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Control System.
• Control part availability for series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing of technical and software changes.
• Monitor internal supply chain processes impacting part availability across various departments.
• Analyze monthly Supplier rating and yearly SUMIS rating information, initiating corrective actions when needed.
• Control supplies and stock by planning the correct quantity and software level of parts, optimizing stock on hand.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to maintain parts supply and implement new software levels.
• Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports and coordinate flash campaigns with relevant teams.
• Implement process improvements and cost-saving measures.
• Attend coordination meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
